But his real skill wasn’t just closing deals—it was seeing the bigger picture. He had a knack for identifying operational inefficiencies, asking the right questions, and uncovering the hidden bottlenecks that slowed businesses down.
Private equity & the scaling problem
This strategic mindset led him to join as founding member to Garden City, a private equity firm that now manages over $250M in assets, focusing on service-driven businesses. While working with thousands of business owners, the same roadblocks surfaced repeatedly:
